Abortion and Capital Punishment: Justice and Murder

...ers “To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being and is no longer a matter of taste and opinion…it is plain experimental evidence.” Therefore a fetus is a thinking, a moving, and a living human life that shouldn’t be considered expendable. This proves that there is no difference in killing a two-day-old baby and a 20 year-old man. I find it funny that feminist activist groups, while they strongly support a woman’s right to choose, are depriving the rights of 80,000 females at the same time. In this case the 80,000 women make up the number of females aborted each year through abortion. Our country’s Constitution says that everyone is guaranteed rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In having an abortion you are taking away that baby’s right to life and the unborn baby’s right to life should always have priority over a woman’s right to choose, no matter what. Why are we making the unborn pay for the mistakes their mother and father made? For every 1,000 babies born, 359 babies are aborted, and those 359 aborted babies have done nothing wrong, and they have done nothing which death would justify. Even when you thought abortion couldn’t get anymore sick and barbaric, it did. Babies, at or near birth, are being dissected sometimes while still alive in our American abortion clinics weekly. Their organs are harvested and sold not only on the black market, but also through companies like Opening Lines in Kansas City, Missouri. Until this company’s operations were exposed, they were selling “unprocessed” babies for $70, eyes for $75, and spinal columns for $850 (Savage, The Savage Nation). Compared to abortion, capital punishment is comparable to a spanking or a time-out. One reason is that federal executions are done using painless and sanitary methods. Even the deceased criminal is given a funeral and is buried in one piece, rather than being thrown in a garbage can, which is the disposing method abortion “doctors” use to dispose of the aborted baby. Capital punishment saves lives and lowers the crime rate nation-wide. It has been proven that in years where more federal executions took place, fewer homicides took place. A respected criminologist by the name of Richard Rosenfeld, supports this theory because he, along with other criminologists, found that the crime rate in the 1990’s dropped 40% due to the increase in federal executions during this time period. There is no proof denying the fact that you could have been the executed criminal’s next victim, and in the case with abortion,...
