Do the officials really know what they are doing?
...organization to get them ready. The BIIF does not know that the referees do not get tested. I interviewed the head referee at our last game. His name is Mr. Stazcow. I interviewed him on Friday night at about 10:15 after our game. He informed me that they don’t get tested. I asked Mr. Stazcow how you become a referee and he told me, “All you have to do is become friends with the owner of the referee organization.” He also told me that all you have to do is fill out an application , take a book from them and say you studied it. They don’t test you to see if you know the material. I think all referees should be tested so people know that their referees know what they are doing. I believe all referees should go through classes and a program every year no matter what. No matter, if they are 10 year veterans or rookies. For example; the AYSO soccer league has a workshop that all referees must attend every year. I think if a little kid’s soccer league can do it I think the BIIF can do it if they want.
