The strength and weakness of Cybercare and how to inmprove it.

The third strength is that the underprivileged children in each orphanage and each orphanage are able to connect with each other and also people in the world. This is good because the orphanage can hold activities together so that they can compete in a healthy way and also enjoy themselves. Outsiders are also able to attend the activities to help out as volunteers or as donors they can come and see how the children are doing and also to have fun with them. The e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor can keep track of the children progress with the internet and also chat or send message to them. This means that they can communicate and take care of the underprivileged child everyday and not just drop in every week. The first weakness is that the program is not known to anyone. This also includes the UTAR students even thought is a join venture between UTAR and the LIONS CLUB OF CYBERCARE KUALA LUMPUR. If it also unknown to the students of UTAR then how can we promote this website to the people of the world. This Cybercare program can only be a success if it is know to everyone especially the UTAR students so that we can get more donors, volunteers, e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor to help out in Cybercare system, the orphanage and the underprivileged children. The second weakness is that we cannot get the latest news from the website and also we can not subscribe to the newsletter. If there is no latest news in the website, there is no way for people to know if there is any event held in any of the orphanage. This means that people will not be able to go to any event that is held. For people that are busy with work to go to the website, they may want to subscribe a newsletter to let them know what is going on in the orphanage or any event that is going to be held. This newsletter can be a combination of many orphanages or it can be just one that the subscriber picks. Volunteers, e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor also will not know if there is anything that is held in the particular orphanage that they did not went to that needed help from them or they can go to give their support to the underprivileged children. The third weakness is that we cannot e-donate and there is no link or form in front page of the webpage on the way to become an e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor. To donate we must download the form, fill it up and then send the check and form to the office of Cybercare. It is troublesome for people to register to be an e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor because they need to go very far into the webpage just to register. People also may not know that this kind of program exist in Cybercare. The strengths of the Cybercare are good but if the weaknesses can be over come it will become even better. The most important weaknesses to over come are to promote the Cybercare and also to show what is available in Cybercare (volunteers, e-parent/parents, e-brother/sister, or e-tutor). With this two weaknesses becoming strength, the orphanages and underprivileged children will benefit from it and this will also benefit Cybercare. Question 2 Purpose TWO (2) information technology features to improve / overcome current workflow. The two information technology features to improve and overcome the current workflow is doing more advertising about the website and changing the ways of making donation. Why I say that they need to do more advertising? The Cybercare website and their purpose are not well known, even many people know Cybercare but they do not understand the purpose of Cybercare fully. We going to make this website well known through advertising so that people who are not understand well about the Cybercare can go to search for the website and understand the role that’s Cybercare taking in nowadays. They can make advertising their website through other website which is related to it. It also can record some video clips about Cybercare and upload to the browser machine likes MSN, Yahoo and so on. When people search for this kind of website, it will automatically show the video clips title and play the video clips. It also can print some brochures about the events or activities that organize by Cybercare and send it through newspaper. When the citizen read the newspaper they will automatically take the browser and read for it. So that they will attend or join the events or activities if they are free and feel interesting. From this almost perfect website, we have discovered that the newsletter service is not functioning and the forum section is very comprehensive. We feel that newsletter is one of the essential services on this website to let the users check out with the latest news, or getting confirmation and details of the fund. For instance, if we develop an online funds transfer service to the website, newsletter is the way to inform the donor about the fund had been received....
