...n Luther King Jr. Was one of the main leaders of pushing human rights on a national level. He gave a lot of public speaches and presentations on acceptance of people. Amazingally though a lot of people didn’t like him. People didn’t, and still don’t for that matter, believe that all humans are equals. Enough people didn’t agree with him that assasination plans and attempts were found. But in the end one person succeeded in killing a person who preached peace and acceptance. Why would something like, race, religion, sex, age, or moral beliefs change how you view a person or group of people. What about a physical defect? Why would a flaw on the surface change a persons attitude or beliefs, the only things I have witnessed is flaws make people stronger and more accepting. Some of the neetest people I know have one physical condition or another. I cannot fathom why someone would not want to get to know, if not be friends with, someone just because of how they look. I believe that look has nothing to do with the person. Why should your ethnic background get you any special treatment? Our forefathers fought hard to make a country where people from all over the world can come and be accepted. Apparentally that goal has not been met yet, and if the future is anything like the past, it will never will be met.
