Me
...e world, and in our country. I enjoyed camp for allowing me to reflect when i got home, on the things that I can’t live without. Im a Bostonian and in Boston we love sports. Every Sunday in Fall my family and I gather around the Television with our corn chips, guacamole, buffalo wings and dip. To watch our Super Bowl Champion Patriots take the field. I follow the same ritual for my beloved Red Sox too. To me sports are like a old friend. We have our good times (wins) and our bad (losses). In the long run I know that sports are going to be there for me. The week prior to Super Bowl XXXVI the whole Greater Boston was in a frenzy that The Patriots were going to the Super Bowl. That week, you can ask any of the 13 million New England residents and they’ll tell you that they felt a sense of community, as a result of the Patriots’ success. That's why i can’t live without sports. And who better to enjoy sports with than family and friends. My favorite times of the year are Thanksgiving and Christmas. Why? Because it’s a time when Families get together to eat, share stories and have a good laugh. Even though my family may have problems. I try to keep it in perspective, nobody is seriously ill, incarcerated, or homeless. Sometimes I take my family for granted, and then see a less fortunate situation and I count my blessings. I can only imagine not having a family. I think it might feel like being lost at Disney World and feeling scarred, and lonely. But once you find your family it all goes away, and you realize how much they really mean to you. Some people think its weird but I enjoy watching the News. While other sixteen year olds are watching MTV and VH1 im tuned in to CNN or the BBC. Not that anything is wrong with MTV, sure i occasionally like to see The Real World or Pimp My Ride. I just do...
