Antagonist: The antagonist is Joe, because he made a choice that he regrets. The other antagonist is the devil, which helps make Joe make the horrible choice that ruins many things for him. For example, he was so full of himself he decided to sell his soul to the devil. Theme: The theme of Devils Court is to distinguish what one might want, and to practice instead of trying to formulate dire choices one might think will assist. For example Joe sold his soul to the devil because he really sought an excellent season in basketball. He soon after regretted making this resolution. He could have just tried harder to play better. Plot: The plot is where Joe moves to Seattle. The opening conflict is that he sells his soul to the devil, so he will have an improved season with his basketball team. Later on his conflict is resolved because he did not in fact sell his soul to the devil, it just seemed like he did.
