Questonnaire Analysis for shopping habits

...and close to home. These supermarkets were Tesco, Kwick Save and Lidl’s. 28% of the questioned choose these supermarkets because it was close to home. Kwick Save was a firm favourite in Denton Holme as this is not only close to home but offers cheaper goods at a slightly lower standard of quality to other stores such as Tesco’s. Another lower quality supermarket available to Denton Holme is Lidl. This supermarket offers lower standard of goods but at a very low price. Lidl actually import all there goods from Germany and they can afford to charge such low prices as not a lot of money is spent on advertising or presenting there goods in an expensive way. These inner City supermarkets are also handy because they proved close to work with my questioned people. Tesco’s in the town was very popular due to its closeness to the shopping centre, and because it is one at convenient times such as before 9 and after 5 workers from the City centre have plenty of time for food shopping. The next pie charts were to find out how often people to do there shopping and where these different people choose to do this. The firm favourite with well of 50% was the weekly food shopping. It is also handy when people do not know how much food they will consume in a week, therefore keep purchasing shopping every couple of days. This shopping more than once a week can sometimes get out of hand and people spend more money than needed. People who shop more than once a week tend to shop in Inner City supermarkets. Tesco’s in town and Kwick Save were popular with this group of shoppers. I believe this is due to ease of shopper here. Firstly most people who shop at these supermarkets walk or use the public transport available. Therefore people tend not to want to carry a lot of bags and would rather to smaller more frequent shops. People who shop weekly or fortnightly prefer the larger supermarkets such as Tesco’s Rosehill, Asda and Morrisons. These are all out of town locations and are usually chosen due to the wider variety of goods and free parking. Most people who shop at these time periods have access to a car, therefore being able to fill the boot with food in larger amount than people walking or using public transport. The main electrical stores used by the people of Carlisle are Dixons in Kingstown, Curry’s, and Dixons in town. Inner city stores such as Semple and Ferguson’s, and Peter Tysons are not as popular. The more popular shops are located in...
