DO NOT GO GENTEL INTO THAT GOODNIGHT
...The wise men rage against the dying of the light. They know death is their destination yet they still do not go gentle into that good night. Their words of wisdom can not stop them from dying and they unfortunately never found a cure for death. No matter how brilliant the wise men are they still know death is right yet they still don’t accept it. The only thing the wise men can do is fight against the dying of the light. The good men live their lives good and pure, yet they still try to live their lives to the fullest. Watching a sunset, laughing with friends, life is filled with happiness and joy. People live fun and exciting lives right up to the day their souls perish from the earth. In the poem “Do Not Go Gentle Into that Good Night” by Dylan Thomas, the poet proves that it is important to fight to live. Dylan Thomas shows this through the symbols of the wise men, the good men and the wild men who all understand the need to fight to live.
