ADVERSITY OF FINANCIAL AID
...nds to continue our dreams to go to college. My mother has always encouraged Gerald and me to give and do our very best and that our honesty, hard work, and determination will pay off one day. She has taught us to pray and trust in God for everything we need. I have no doubt that my faith and prayers has helped me to overcome and triumph over my adversities and my obstacles. God helps me cope with problems in my life. Additionally, my mother talks with me everyday and anytime I face dilemmas in my life. My brother and I communicate and socialize a lot, too. I truly believe that the three of us are each other’s friend and confidant. Right now, my financial need for college is definitely an obstacle. I pray that I will get the money I need for college. My mother works hard everyday, but she don't make nearly enough to send us to college. My father doesn’t help us. He doesn't work, and has never paid child support for us, either....
