...egular patterns we call natural law. God is outside the box but occasionally reaches in. A miracle is God's intervening in the normal laws of nature to do a supernatural act. In general terms, a miracle is an inexplicable event that appears to transcend or suspend all natural laws (or observations). It is supernatural in origin; biblically a miracle is an act of mighty power that originated from God. The bible contains many miracles, all genuine miracles have a divine purpose; God isn't a magician who performs tricks to entertain people he does it to reveal Himself to us. For example, some try to explain the parting of the Red Sea through natural causes, such as a great wind, which the Bible itself indicates (Exod. 14:21); but how does one explain the timing of the wind along these lines, it is interesting to note that Biblical miracles are not freakish in nature. The miracles in the bible were sufficient way to show that there was supernatural power involved (GOD). Although god uses natural resources (ie wind in this case) to show his involvement with mankind, one may argue that there isn’t an explanation for it yet but science will find out, however the timing of these miracles in the bible can not be questioned as this reason points to God alone. There are many more miracles in the bible, like the creation of the world in six days and God rested on the seventh. The creation of the world is considered a great miracle of God as he created it out of nothing which completely contradicts life, and science. The Greek word for creation out of nothing is ex nihilo.
