Truth is what?
...the crime. When my friend says his car is blue, and shows me photos of his car being blue, I will also decide that it is true that his car is blue. I know something is true when facts are presented that no one else can refute. Society creates individuals into what they are today, therefore we, as a people, determine what is true or not by how society brought us up. In our society, murdering other people is considered to be a crime, no matter what the manner of the killing was. If a man killed his cousin using a trident and a net, and confessed to doing so, we would brand the man a criminal and punish him. In another society however, killing someone by using a trident and a net might be considered spiritual, and perhaps some form of sacrifice. The man who did the killing might be revered, instead of jailed. While I do truly doubt there is a society in the world that considers killing by a trident and a net a spiritual process, this example still shows that two different societies might see the facts from totally different viewpoints, and consider the truth to be dissimilar as well.
