My Car window to the world

...of carts a strong push onto the sidewalk, and hurries to the woman’s side. Their mouths move softly and I can see light puffs of breath from their mouths. I imagine that kind words are being exchanged in the wet and cold. A car horn blasting to my left distracts me from this modern day act of chivalry and yanks my head to left. An older gray van with dark blue stripes, horizontal down the side, and an older oriental woman behind the wheel, has found a parking space in the side of a newer Honda Accord. The Accord’s driver gets out to look at the damage. He’s an older man with black and gray hair and is wearing a suit and tie. His face scrunches as he looks at his vehicle. He throws his hands up and back on his head. The oriental woman doesn’t try to get out of her van and instead backs up slowly and tries to maneuver the van into a tiny, impossible space around the Accord. The man starts screaming, I can hear him through the glass, and he jogs over to the van, tapping on the window. She has nowhere to go and now knows this, so she pulls left and steps out of her van. A car behind me honks. The wreck has left them with no way around me, so I’m forced to move up. I push in the button on my shifter and pull it into drive. I move forward slowly as people start to pour out the doors with carts, bags, and children. The car begins to honk again, and it makes me wonder if he assumes that I should run over everyone. I suppose taking out around thirty people would be no skin off his back and he would then be able to move around me.
