Reading the Motive for Metaphor was so boring; sitting in a room all by myself all day would be more entertaining. Next time I am having problems sleeping, I think I’ll just pick up a copy of Motive for Metaphor. Now I mean no offence to you Mr. Oldford if you do enjoy this piece of literature, but I cannot lie, I hated it. I was honestly looking forward to doing all of my history homework while answering the questions to this. Northrop Frye also uses big words that I have no clue what they mean, and I frankly couldn’t care in wasting my time looking up words that this guy uses in his essays. I even went out into the living room, sat down and listened to my entire Beatles CD just to take a break from answering the questions and reading Motive for Metaphor once again to attempt to understand what in the world he was talking about. I’m having troubles even writing an essay on it. The major thing that annoyed me while reading Motive for Metaphor was the pointless references that he made throughout the entire essay.
