The forefathers of Arabia were known as bedouins, also knows as the first nomads in Arabia. The Bedouin population was formed by large groups of families, known as clans. They used to roam the desert in searh of more fertile lands for their animals. A bizarre national past-time was 'raiding'. Clans of families used to raid each other and take away of rather kidnap women and children. Raiding was in their bloodstream and were experts in this past time.
