The position of a president carries out extremely complicated and critical issues that cannot be solved in a ‘dandy way’ where the citizen is always happy and comfortable. Second, a major point which I believe would jeoperdize Ralph’s running for a president is being an extremist. American politics generally offer two choices- Republican or Democratic. Democratic and Republican parties are in basic agreement on most issues. Ralph belongs to the Green Party- which may be considered as ‘an extreme democratic’ party. During the 2000 campaign, Ralph Nader claimed that the two major parties, namely Democrats and Republicans, are functionally equal servants of corporate power and greed. The Green Party does not say that there's no difference between the Democratic Party and Republican Party, just not enough. Nader’s profile does not fit into the democrat or the republican party; instead he is an independent presidential candidate.
