This will improve your reading skills by practice. Second, there are many different kind of thinking for a human. All this can be improved through video games by practicing it. For example, in a certain game there is a locked door that you need to open. In either for you to do this you will, first look for the key, select the right key, insert the key into the lock, turn it, and open the door. This is the ability to think in sequential order. Third, video games can improve observation, map making and reading skills (Emily Sohn). It is amazing how many teenagers/students are awful at reading maps. But with little practice soon they will be able to read and even make maps. Fourth, vocabulary development and spelling can be increased (Emily Sohn). Some game required you to remember certain things and words to pass a certain level. This will help you remember and be familiar with many words. Fifth, gamers often take notes to help them beat the game. Here their note taking skills will develop which will be very useful in school.
