Ibn, now on camelback, with an old friend of his father’s set north for many months until arriving at an unfamiliar land. He and his partner arrived at Denmark and became friendly with the northerners. At a dinner Ibn attends, a messenger comes to ask for help because monsters are taking over their land. “The thirteenth man must be no north man.” This is when the oracle picked all twelve men to go and fight and she said that the thirteenth man must be him. He looked scared, he wasn’t a worrier, he was a poet. While off at battle, Ibn comes across his first fight. “I am not a warrior.” He says this to one of the men right before the wendles came to attack. Scared for his life, he tried but he really didn’t accomplish anything. He battled one wedel and killed it but at the same time, he didn’t get up to keep fighting after being knocked down. Something made Ibn change; something happened inside of him making him start believing that he was meant to be a warrior. “Open the gate, open the gate.” He saw a young girl in the field when the wendels were about to attack and wanted to save her. This was the turning point of the movie for Ibn. Instead of being just another body fighting he now was a man with out fear, a warrior. From this point on, he started acting like a fighter and most of all thinking like one too. “The claws, head dresses, ...
