The manager in most cases would hire the applicant who is willing to work for the smaller pay. Many Americans loose their jobs because of the fact that labor is much cheaper in countries in other parts of the world, especially ones where the dollar value is less than the U.S. dollar. For instance, a sneaker company will pay workers in countries such as Taiwan and China to produce their tennis shoes at a much cheaper cost that it would be to produce them in the United States. This fact contributes to the reason in which why so many Americans would end up loosing jobs in sneaker factories because it will cost far more to pay them, compared to that of an employee in other parts of the globe. Globalization also increases the chances of an open war between developing countries as they vie for resources.
