...se it was out of style. Maggie over heard the conversation and decided to give her sister the quilt since all her life she has been use to not taking no for answer. At the end of the story Dee tell her sister Maggie the importance of the quilt which was for her to better understand her culture and background. At the end both sister enjoyed eachothers company and Dee told her sister to consider becoming something better useful in life. Basically this story deals with a mother and two daughters who have different qualities and views about life. Heritage is important part of Dee's life. In this story De has a problem understanding her heritage therefore she asks Maggie to give her the quilt to indentify her roots. Her mother Mrs. Johnson is the narrater of the story. This is a very interesting story and I believe it had alot to do with a mixture of cultures united and in search for there background roots. Maggie in this story is prefered by her mother Mrs. Jognson although she is uneduca...
