It was through a child's eyes that an adults mindset was shown in full truth. Innocence brought injustice to the surface. So it is injustice that brings us to this novel. Injustice rules and is subtly apparent in this novel from start to finish. It is the views of that injustice that are so important, when we see the inequality and mistreatment that we have heard of it is no shock. However when we see the deep seed of hatred rooted with a stead fast mentality in these towns people. There are so many deeply ignorant peoples in this book (Bob Ewell). It is the presence of racial short comings that keeps the novel moving on, we are compelled through out the novel to ponder the truth behind any in equality. Whether it is the mistreatment of Tom Robinson or the out casting of Boo Radley, we are always thinking about what they must feel like. We are made to think, we are given a reason to put our selves in these peoples shoes. It is most important that we are able to see the innocence in these people. This novel is of biblical proportions in it’s choice of topics. Harper Lee chooses to address oppression and injustice and thus draws attention to those topics. We all f...
