... Rikichi thought only of himself as he tried to run into the burning house, but Heihachi tried stopping Rikichi from going inside. Rikichi struggled with Heihachi and then Heihachi got shot and died. This was very selfish of Rikichi because Heihachi was only trying to take him out of danger but Rikichi wouldn’t listen so Heihachi was killed while trying to help him. Kambei is a samurai and is classified under the noble class. He is an experienced samurai and he is the one who creates and leads the group of samurai. Kambei is a wise, reasoning, and patient samurai. Moreover, he is serious at most times but can occasionally joke around. Throughout the movie Kambei proves to be a brave man because he is not afraid to fight or to die. Kambei actions throughout the movie also show that he cares about others. A couple examples of this include; when he shaves his head in order to save the little boy, and when he agreed to help the farmers fight the bandits even though all he will get in return is shelter and 3 meals a day. Rikichi and Kambei are both from two different classes as Rikichi is part of the peasant class while Kambei is part of the noble class. They both contrast each other with their leadership qualities.
