...echnologies that seemed to be much ahead of it’s time, which could have definitely benefited the Romans. Unfortunately, the Romans did not take advantage of these inventions. Instead of benefiting from these ideas and inventions, the Romans destroyed them all. The Romans though histories were also know for their great art and literature. Even thought they copied much of the Greek art, the Romans were much more practical. One of the buildings that show how practical the Romans were is the Forum. This building, unlike others, had a dome at the ceiling instead of just having a flat one. This not only showed the art of architecture, but it was made for other purposes as well. The Romans designed this dome ceiling after they were able to prove that bricks, in that shape and positions, bricks exerts more pressure over the other, causes the building to be more stable. The Roman literature dealt with many different concepts. The most important ones were the books about the court and social structure. Because the Romans were the ones who started courts, they had many books about social structures and about the structures of senates and politicians. At the Augustan Age, the peak of the Roman Empire, there were nobles, senates and many other politicians who formed the Roman government. Even after Christianity has spread to the Romans, they started to gain more ideas. But as years went...
