These people have the very important job of running the nations of the world, but it is in the real world that leaders, not simply people with authority, affect people’s lives on a personal level. Almost anybody with a political science degree or a dad that held an office before him can be elected, selected, or self-appointed to a position of authority. But it is where people affect the lives of others through respect and inspiration that leadership earns its connotation. Politicians and elected officials can only do so much to affect the lives of the people they are required to oversee, but it is in the classroom and in the home that the leaders of today stand out. These are motivators and inspirations to everyone they come in contact with. Leadership goes outside the realm of what is required. These everyday leaders do so much more for the community and the morale of the people they reach. They inspire and motivate people to do things that, without the empowerment of a leader, would never have achieved. It is very important that a leader empower, motivate, and organize others to achieve their goals. Anyone can be called a leader for one reason or another.
