Like many other Jewish Australians, I am the descendant of Holocaust survivors - Polish Jews who through courage, severe hardship and plain, simple luck lived through the ghettoes and the concentrations camps. That survivor generation is starting to disappear. Everyday, there are fewer and fewer eye-witnesses left to the Nazi crimes against humanity. I believe it to be a sacred duty for their descendants to maintain the memories of the Holocaust, to remind the world of man's cruelty to man and to counter the efforts of those who, for whatever warped political or social reasons, try to rewrite history to convince others that the whole thing never happened. The Web is an invaluable way of keeping alive the memories of the Holocaust. On this page are but some of the many resources available on the Internet. (If you know of others please tell me.)
