He also get pleasure from learning about and connecting with other people. Jonas also demonstrates courage in this novel by taking the memories of The Giver and showing that he is not afraid of being the communities new Receiver and is not afraid of trying to make changes in the community, both to awaken other people in the richness of life and to stop the cruelty that is practiced in the community.Jonas also has the characteristic of wisdom and because of his training he has more wisdom than anyone else in his community but he is still very young and knows little about life in the community itself.
