...e wealthiest people, people earning more than $200,00 a year, and we pass, hopefully, the McCain-Kerry Commission which identified some $60 billion that we can get, “ declared John Kerry. President Bush wants to maintain the tax cuts given to those making $200,000 or more. He believes by maintaining his present course that he can reduce the deficit. President Bush proclaimed, “I propose a detailed budget . . . I sent my budget man to the Congress, and he says, here’s how we’re going to reduce the deficit in half by five years. It requires pro-growth policies that grow our economy and fiscal sanity in the halls of Congress.” I support John Kerry’s proposal at rolling back the tax cuts. This issue is important to my family and me because a strong economy makes a strong country. I believe that John Kerry would roll back the national deficit. I really enjoyed watching “Hairspray” at the Fifth Avenue Theatre. “Hairspray” mimics modern life with popular kids versus the unpopular kids. Set in the 1960’s, this play deals with segregation while spoofing American Bandstand and life in that era.
