...ng that have gone with them. Last week after Mcgee's announcement, I was riding near the Colonial Center and thought back to how that area was such an eyesore just a few year's ago. There were old, rusting warehouses and other abandoned buildings. Our office has been near the stadium for close to 20 years now and i can recall when the wire fence around the Fairgrounds had barbed wire strands around the tops. Now there is brick and wrought iron fence and beautiful trees planted out front of the stadium. It has taken lots of time and money but the city of Columbia has gone a long way to improve the fluidity of the place's around the stadium.
