"Knowledge Is Power"
...ineering Manager/ Vice President of Smart Vent, Inc. He attended trade school directly out of high school and never even considered college. That was what his father did and it just seemed like the right thing to do. As he entered the workplace he noticed how much more money the people who held degrees were making. He is amazing at what he does, but he found the competition for jobs fierce and lacking a college degree was not helping. He began to attend night classes at Eastern University. After he got his degree he was getting more and more job offers. He is now very happy at Smart Vent, Inc. It just goes to show you that the degree does matter and “Knowledge is Power”! In America, power is expressed in many ways; designer clothes, fancy cars, and nice jewelry are all things that a powerful person usually has. Donald Trump and Bill Gates are two very powerful men. They could easily close a branch of one of their companies and they would put hundreds of people out of work. They have so much power in our economy it’s scary! They express their power by fancy cars, billion dollar estates, and many more high-class items. Power is expressed with materialistic items, and knowledge will enable you to work an excellent job and afford these things. If you have a higher degree, you may be hired for an executive position in a large company. Take my father for instance, as Vice President he knows every single thing that goes on in the company and if any decision has to be made he has a huge input in the final decision.
