One thing I tried to do while I was reading the sections of the history dealing with 1910-1955 and 1955-1970 was put me into my grandparents and parents shoes with what it must have been like in the classroom during those days. I just found it to be interesting to see the changes over the generations. For instance the introduction of technology (radio, photography, etc.) was introduced to my grandparents, but at the same time there were not too many advances known to society. During my parents era space exploration was beginning to take off for the United States. Also lab work in the science classrooms was beginning to become very popular. Now during my era, it is pretty crazy to even imagine getting anything out of schooling without these things.
