Allegory of the cave
...ut there is one man who is taken out of the cave by a teacher and is shown the light. It dazzles him at first. When the man went back into the cave to tell the rest about the real world the people in the cave didn’t want to listen, they don't understand and they fear the light. Well when I finished reading this the first time, I was really lost I had no clue what I just read? I was confused. I just didn’t understand it. The names were weird to me and some of the vocabulary was hard to understand. I felt bad for the prisoners when I was reading how they were chained since their childhood. I mean chained by your legs and neck so they couldn’t move. I would of hated to have to live like that. I also believe that today because Plato has an understanding of "good" that may not be exactly the same as our “good”. We live in a world that is transitioning from modern to post modern.
