With the men fighting amongst themselves most new this wasn’t going to be a very good trip. Most men were afraid to turn back because they didn’t know what their captain would do to them. When they got to the Stephano, Captain Kean let them aboard. He gave them lunch and then he had a conversation with Tuff. George Tuff asked what he should do and Captain Abram Kean of the Stephano replied by saying that he was going to let them off a little closer to the Newfoundland. The only problem was is that he let them off farther away then he thought he knew. Some men started to hide because they didn’t want to go back on the ice because they saw the storm coming. All the men that hide were found and sent over the side with rest of the men. The Newfoundland’s crew was furious because they knew that they did not have enough clothing or supplies to last through a storm. George Tuff was confident with what Abram Kean but he would find out that he was wrong. As they trekked on. They came across a large amount of seals that George Tuff had said, he thought were more like 2-3 kilometers farther. Somehow George Tuff then realized he had no idea where he was. Somehow Captain Abram Kean had dropped them off 2-3 kilometers closer to these seals. He had no clue how far away from the Newfoundland he was. The men were even puzzled because Tuff had told them that 2-3 kilometers away was seals. Then almost all of them started to yell because they knew something was wrong and it all was George Tuff’s fault.
