Her entire society turns against her, yet she helps everyone around the town, trying to rebuild her rep. Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, also depicts the theme of society. If one was to be convicted with witchcraft, the society would isolate that person from themselves. Yet, all the people who are convicted, previously had a strong rep in the community. For example, Rebecca Nurse was held in tremendous regard in Puritan Salem, before being accused of witchcraft.
