...mosphere. I think the author engages the audience by using comparisons. He compares the burger place with like a church for Connie and Arnold with a guy using things from the past year. This author did seem to do a pretty good job of engaging me. Maybe its because I can relate to what he’s talking about. The reading has made me recall a few memories. Such as one time my friend was trying to hook up with a girl so we both just drove over to her house. I remained in the car while they talked she eventually got in and came with us, but he was not nearly as intimidating. He also did not have the same intentions. Maybe this is the wrong way to approach girls though. This piece does parallel a lot of things with my life. I know I hold a lot of my opinions on appearance. I also think i'm right and my parents are not a lot....
