Violence in Today’s Teens

However, if verbal bullying continues, feelings of hatred and fantasies of revenge will develop. Since they all have a smart brain, it will be inconceivable what kind of vengeance they will take. The only thing known for sure is they will use different means of violence to leave their enemy and the community terrified and bemused. Also, the teenagers now days are too exposed to the violence in different forms of entertainment, such as video games, films, TV, and various sports, as well as the horrors of race and gang conflicts. I remember one morning I turned on the radio and thought I had found an Iraqi War broadcast when I heard someone saying: "We were out for blood. We knew there was no turning back. I am not real proud of some of the things we had to do, but we knew we were faced with our survival." Imagine my shock when I discovered I was listening to a basketball player talking about winning last night's game. We absolutely do live in a violent society, as evidenced by our entertainment, games, and our wars. In fact, I believe there are well over 50 active wars on this planet at this time. So how can some teens behave themselves when they are living under this “violent culture”?
