... of Dynamics: Piece has great range of dynamics. Beginning: mezzo forte, letter “A”: forte, letter “B”: mezzo forte for all instruments except 2nd violins, ending: from fortissimo to forte fortissimo Articulation: marcato, staccato, stringendo hooked bowing & accents IV. All instruments were in unison through out the piece & the tone quality was great. There should be more communication between performer & conductor because some parts were rushed and texture at letter “B” did not blend that well. Dynamic contrasts were not clear. 2nd violins should play extra loud at letter “B” & performers should look up more often *Note: The following (V to VIII) all relate to Pavane* V. Performed on 18th November 2004 at North Toronto C.I. at 8:00 p.m. VI. Flute Trio: Pavane, Op. 50, Jennifer Bok, Sue Cho, and Mor Shargall VII. Style of the Piece: Classical Instrumentation: Flutes (3) Tempo: Allegro Moderato Stylistic Features: cantabile, vivace, dolce, grazioso espressione Texture: Ostinato: repeated melodic fragments. Melodies flow freely from one instrument to another, which means each instrument has an equal role in the whole piece.
