...nd just to have the feeling that I just fed over a hundred families in need of food made me feel blessed to be a blessing. We volunteered at nursing homes, DEFACS, and many other organizations, but nothing compared to the volunteer service we did for theses people. This was a big reality check to us all about just how fortunate we all are. Many of us complain about what we have to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner because we aren’t as grateful as we should be. What we should be thinking about is how many other families in not only this world, but in our community alone, is without food, isn’t eating properly, or hasn’t had a well-prepared meal in awhile. Providing this service to these people opened my eyes to many new things. My family and I became more aware of how grateful we should be to have a home of our own and to eat a well-balanced meal everyday.
