Cutting Weight The Right Way

... a lot after I weigh in and I find myself being 10 to 12 pounds over with a week to lose it. I know that it isn’t healthy to do that but I just can’t stand sitting there and not being able to eat what I want. I want control of my life and I don’t want wrestling to control it so I say, “I’ll show you, and I’ll eat whatever I want!” but I then come in on Tuesday with a weigh-in on Thursday and I find myself 8-10 over and I panic. If I would just watch what I ate after weigh-ins I could cut down about 5 pounds of the liquid I drink afterwards and that is why I always am so much over. I could just bump up a weight class so I wouldn’t have to cut so much weight but the problem with that is that there is no one else that is capable of making 130 pounds and if we want any chance at beating St. Edwards then we have to have a full line-up and I have to do what is best for the team and wrestle 130. Another way for me to lose it would be to be careful about what I eat. Eat fruit after weigh-ins instead of drinking so much Powerade/Gatorade because the fruit is good for you and y...
