Terri has some consciousness and with some therapy her parents believe she can recover to some extent. Governor Jeb Bush and the State legislature are on the Schindler’s side and providing her with extraordinary legal protection. Terri is expected to die a painful two-week starvation death if the tube is pulled. Pulling the feeding tube would be like a DNR. Without food, Terri would die from starvation. The feeding tube is defiantly a form of medical treatment. Terri’s rights as a human being should not be violated just because she lacks the knowledge and power to make her own decisions. Terri Schiavo has the right to live and the courts should stay with her parents side and provide her with protection from the tube being pulled.
