...ts once u are bewitched in this fever. Most youths follow the trend blindly in an attempt to win others recognition. Canto-pop music has been a common topic among them. They think they would be degraded if they can not catch on the newest information. Consequently, they spend a lot of money on buying the latest albums and concert tickets. The love lyrics capture the hearts of many adolescents and help them to express their thoughts. They thus go to Karaoke to burst out their emotions and help them to escape from reality. These activities are not only time and money consuming, but their neglect of schoolwork also led to the downfall of the school result. It is a vastly pity to see that there have been spates of canto-pop songs which are written in vulgar language and nonsense stuff in recent decades. Unlike the old days, most songs are beautifully written with proper Chinese language. These improper grammars put our language ability in jeopardy. Even so, many juveniles are still addicted to these songs so as to get a sense of rebellion and enabled them to find their true self.
