What are some of the major types of abuses on the elderly

...publicly murdered his 78 years old wife even though she had a restraining order against him (CNN, 31 Dec 2000). This is one of the many cases of physical abuse that caught many people’s attention and is making more people aware of the situation in homes where elders are physically abused. Another main form of elderly abuse is emotional abuse (psychological or verbal). Emotional elder abuse is a verbal or nonverbal act that inflicts emotional pain, anguish, or distress on the elder. It is also sometimes known as verbal abuse, mental abuse, or psychological abuse. Emotional elderly abuse is almost always accompanied by another form of abuse, such as physical abuse.
