...e were attacked, we’ve found that now the U.S. has created this propaganda campaign against terrorism, but the underlying truth is that the U.S. is simply sponsoring a campaign to protect all of its interests. This war on terror and its affect on the economy displays that the U.S. will stop at nothing until it makes sure that all of its global economic interests are fully protected and preserved. If, in order to accomplish this goal the U.S. has to stomp out all foreign enemies who stand in its way, so be it! The President has made no beans about conveying to the nation that he intends to combat “terror” on all fronts across the globe, the term terror is simply the Presidents terminology for threats, not threats to us personally as a nation, but to our constant production and reproduction of economic prosperity. This point was reemphasized in Homeland Insecurity, by Corn when he stated that “if the [Bush] Administration were serious about making Americans more secure, it would have to intervene forcefully in the private sector, which would raise industry costs.” So when you think carefully about this, it becomes increasingly clear, the President isn’t as interested in combating terror as he presents himself to be. Because part of fighting a war is not only combating your enemies, but also insuring that you have a surplus of supplies and security measures to withstand an attack from your enemies.
