The myth of the Blitz is that everybody in the Blitz came over the terror and tragedy and took it with a good sense of British humour. I find this very hard to believe that everybody in the Blitz overcame terror and tragedy and took it with a good sense of humour. Some of these people have family members killed, or, they may have lost their homes, or, they may have been physically or mentally injured. All of these tragedies would take many years to come to terms with; if ever. Some people surely were scarred for life by the tragedies of the Blitz.
