Drinking age
...that people are mature enough to drink alcohol without hurting themselves or getting into trouble. The age is also probably set at 21 because when it was set at 18 people who were still in high school were able to drink. This made it easier for kids in high school to get their hands on alcohol and potentially do something stupid. By having it at 21 people are not able to drink until they are well into their college years. Personally I think it is a little ridiculous that there is even a law against drinking alcohol that was a major factor in people’s diet all throughout history. One of the reasons there is such a problem with under age drinking today is because teenagers feel that it is sort of a thrill and a way of disregarding authority. Without a certain set age to consume alcohol I think that overtime alcohol will become just like any other drink.
