Please accept my apologies for contacting you, I understand that you are no longer consulting at the St. Peters Hospital Churtsey but following our last visit we are disappointed and confused by the comments made following Louise examination. As the person with the most experience and knowledge of Louise disability, the purpose of this communication is to try and establish the current and future situation. Firstly, on the day of Louise last visit in August we were not aware that you had left the hospital, but appreciate that people move on, this was more of an issue for Louise, who has had complete confidence in yourgoodself for many years and was not only disappointed to be seen by another consultant, but to be informed that you had left the hospital. Our understanding has been that not knowing what has caused the problem with Louise’s feet, the course of action was, ongoing surgery until such time that here feet would stop growing and a final operation would perhaps not total solve the problem, but, certainly go some way to improving Louise’s standard of living by improving here ability to walk and, as a young lady give here the opportunity to wear fashionable shoes and not trainers, which she has worn since the age of 5 years. To our total disappointment and disbelief, the result of the examination and comments made by the consultant was that no more could be done for Louise, that further surgery was pointless and, she should consider herself lucky as in his opinion her deformed right foot should have been amputated some time ago.
