Compare and Contrast between a Hero and a Champion

Champion always entertains us by the way they play their games or sports. What is a hero? A hero is someone who saves another human or animal life rather than caring about his life. Also, a hero is known for a character in a novel, poem, or dramatic presentation. A hero is someone who moves beyond fear toward battles his heart that has to win, who conquers not so much with forceful bravado; but by summoning strength from within. Heroes don’t think of themselves as heroes, they just do the right thing. Unlike a champion, hero does not care for fame, fortune, prizes, or metals. Some people say heroes are handsome; I think heroes don’t have to be handsome, because you look at a hero for what he is and for his qualities not his appearance. An everyday hero would be a fireman, military people, law enforcement, search and rescue team. Also a hero can be me, you, your family members; hero can be anyone doesn’t matter of age or gender. A hero is not a sports figure, movie star, rock stars and doctors. There are many heroes in the world, for example, Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi changed the lives of many and were considered a great hero though they never fought or killed anyone. Also, heroes are known in the history books, such as the firefighters of September 11th, military people in Iraq, and the World War I and World War II veterans. There are different kinds of heroes. There are a lot of dangerous things heroes have to do to save an innocent person’s or animal’s life. For example, during the Twin Tower attacks, a lot of firemen and rescue worker were risking their lives to save other peoples lives. Some firemen and rescue workers did die in the tragedy of September 11th, but this tragedy never made heroes weak, it made them stronger. Most of the heroes have to be daring. A true hero devotes his or her life by saving other people’s life. Unlike a champion, hero never gives up, not for a single second. A lot of people in the world depend on them. Heroes have good characteristics within themselves such as kind, helping, caring for people or animals. Another hero would be a rainforest hero, who would try to save animal’s habitat. Since the world is getting developed each day, they need wood for houses, business and a lot of thing but just because of the selfishness, people destroy other environmental habitat, which is very important in the world.
