The other woman is wearing long flowered earrings that also matched well. The apparel they were wearing was for a crowd maybe in late 20’s or early 30’s. While looking at the clothes a little more, I realized they were not something I would not purchase. The outfits just weren’t my style. In large white letters, the brand name, bebe is located in the center of the page. The brand name overlaps the apparel of the women and draws attention to the apparel. The brand name was the first thing I noticed about this advertisement. It made me want to see what more it had to offer me as a buyer. Since this is a brand I would consider buying clothes from, I was more interested to see if I would actually purchase them. This is one of the focal points of the advertisement. It states clearly in bold letters the brand of clothing; no guesswork. Another focal point of this advertisement is the faces and hair of the women. This alone, draws attention to them. The advertiser obviously wants what sells, and sex sells. Having two beautiful women as models for their clothes would make people stop and look twice. Maybe the advertiser’s goal was to make women think they can look like these models if they purchase their clothes. Many times, I catch myself looking at advertisements no matter what the product is. I am always interested to see what is trying to be sold and how they do it. I even catch myself flipping through the television and getting stuck watching those infomercials! I like to find out more about the product no matter what it is. I noticed the main points that catch my eye first are usually the simple advertisements. When I see an ad that has little going on it makes me want to learn more about it. When I already know that they are trying to sell, I don’t spend much time on it. Advertisements with black and white pictures seem to catch my eye. The black and white images to me usually have a sense of style and class.
