But one night while Kurt was away playing football, Brenda got a call that a tornado came thru the spot were her parents had there new house built, and the next day her parents were found dead. Kurt came home immediately to be with his wife Brenda to comfort her to be her crutch. Kurt took a 4 game absence from the AFL. (Beyond The Glory, 2004) When Kurt returned to the AFL for 4 straight games Kurt thru 5 interceptions in each game and became the most hated player of the Iowa Barnstormers. Then Kurt got a call from the Amsterdam Admirals, a team of the NFL Europe, and Amsterdam being the sex and drugs capital of the world was a great place to test his newly reformed self. In the European league Kurt lead his team to a championship and was named the Most Valuable Player. (Beyond The Glory, 2004) Proving him self in the NFL Europe, Kurt got a call from the St. Louis Rams during the pre-season of the 1999-2000 season, Kurt thinking this was his last chance to get into the NFL he took it he was signed as a back up quarterback for the Rams, but when there number one quarterback Trent Green was injured in the preseason he was declared to be out for the season. And other than trading Kurt for a better quarterback the Rams stuck with Warner. (Beyond The Glory, 2004) During the 1999-2000 season Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, and Torry Holt were nicknamed “the Greatest Show on Turf”, but that wasn’t the end of the 1999 season no it was far from over for the St. Louis Rams. Kurt Warner took his team to the Super Bowl that year and there opponents the Tennessee Titans.
