Bahai Faith
...ve announcements for others. The Baha段 faith does not have a pastor, preacher, or reverend. One person will volunteer and pick a date and lead that service. This person leads the discussion or topic from the readings for that day. This Sunday was about unity. They talked about everyone becoming one in God. I believe because of the elections that unity was the perfect topic for discussion. As one nation we need to unite, and this was a very interesting topic for me to sit and listen to. The lecture is a ritual through out all of the Baha段 worship centers. The lecture is the most important part in the ritual in the service. This is a very common ritual in all churches. I believe for the follower of this belief, having a fellow Baha段 preaches to them about God is very helpful. You are able to get you fellow neighbor痴 opinion and their view of how they believe in God and celebrate his name. As in a Christian church, the pastor reads scriptures from the Bible, quotes from other books, and lectures about what God intends for humans to do. The lectures usually come after the opening prayer and are the main part of the service. This is a very similar ritual in the Baha段 church. Although, they do not have a pastor, the person who chooses to read will pick out scriptures, quotes or just tell you what they think about Baha置値lah. This shows that all faiths have similar rituals. A lecture is the easiest way to declare God痴 word to the congregation. In this faith they use this action to help others understand that God wants everyone to be united as one. This action has been around forever. Fables, love stories, Bible scriptures have all been passed down through lectures. This is nothing new to the Baha段 faith. People have been giving lectures since Adam and Eve痴 time. This is just an efficient way to get others to understand your view and God痴 word. The Baha段 faith has opened its doors to the community. The people of the Baha段 worship center in Raleigh have reached out and have gotten many new comers and believers. They use the ritual of lecturing the new comers about the messenger of God, Baha置値lah, and about the faith. By doing this, the new comers, are more aware of what the faith believes in and is trying to do. In order for the people to know that God痴 scriptures want all to be united as one, the leaders of the Baha段 community have too reach out and announce to them what it is the Baha置値lah was sent to do. The community listens and responds well to the lectures. There has been a recent increase of curious people. Many new people stop in and at least attend two worship services before they decided whether or not they fit in with this faith. Lecturing has been a great tool and action for the Baha段 faith so fa...
