I connected the two sides in parallel and each side's compartments are in series. Advantages: Relatively small in terms of that you can build ontop of it. Generates 6V. Disadvantages: Takes a lot of soldering and wiring to put together a full tray of cells. Current is fairly small. Beware of the salt-bridge, they are almost always used illegally when used for the chemical battery. The battery must actually generate the electricity used. Salt-bridges are usually just used as switches, rather than batteries. Grand equipment necessary: None, you can buy everything you need at a hobby store or anywhere that sells thin sheets of copper and zinc. I presume that you have access to an ice cube tray or that you know where to buy one . Good luck! There are probably better metals, but they may be harder or more expensive to obtain... -------------------- --Kentucky Get your flag today! http://www.scioly.org/obb/read.php?TID=7177 This signature is currently on trial, do not take offense, I repeat, do not take offense... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NegatedVoid Re: Building a Battery....
